Ladies 4th place for Wilma Aintila in Beveren

Aintila reflects on the Grand Prix CHW Beveren with mixed feelings. "We delivered good teamwork, I had good legs, rode a good sprint, but fourth is, of course, a little bit an ungrateful place," she says. "It was a tough race, with a lot of attacks right from the start. I also tried in the last lap. We got away with three of us and it went quite well, but the peloton behind us was going very fast. They hardly let us go and unfortunately caught us before the finish, leading to a bunch sprint. There, I was well piloted by Sterre (Vervloet, ed.), but got a bit boxed in, which prevented my sprint from coming out fully. That’s unfortunate. I’m disappointed but also happy with my form today. Next week, I will start in the Baloise Belgium Tour. There will undoubtedly be new opportunities."
