After finishing third in the national time trial championship among elite women and winning the national U23 time trial championship earlier this week, Alberte Greve can now call herself the national U23 road champion in Denmark. She was the only Lotto Dstny rider at the start, moreover. "It was a good day today," Alberte Greve says. "It was super hard though and just difficult as I was the only Lotto Dstny rider of course. On flat roads, it was me against some teams who came in bigger numbers, and we were U23 riders together with pro riders. We went in a breakaway with 9 riders, I think. They kept attacking, and I had to take a lot of the attacks as I was alone. In the last lap, the breakaway split into four groups. There was one single rider in front, behind her two riders in the second group, I was in the third group and then there was a fourth group. The peloton was the fifth. I eventually became 6th and took the U23 Danish title with that."

Two titles in just a few days make Greve extremely happy. "It gives confidence that I am developing in the right direction. First, there was that time trial title... I knew that I was capable of it - I was the national time trial champion last year for the juniors, with a nice advantage - but of course, there are always surprise riders in a time trial. I knew I could do a top 10, but number 3 is great. I also just graduated on Thursday, so I will have some celebration tonight. Now I head to the U23 Europeans on the track in two weeks, where I hope to get a good result. After that, I have the Baloise Ladies Tour, and then I still need to speak with the team to see my further program."
