ProTeam Alec Segaert looking forward to opening time trial in Belgium

The Baloise Belgium Tour kicks off with 12 kilometers against the clock tomorrow.
Race 11 June 2024

“Towards the Baloise Belgium Tour I trained on my TT bike a bit more, which also means I had some time to study for my exams as those trainings are a bit shorter. I also went to the gym. I’m happy to be at the start here, it’s always nice to ride in your home country. Above that the race starts with a time trial, which is a nice chance and good for me to discover where I am towards the Belgian Championships time trial.”

“I’m fully focused on the stage tomorrow and then we’ll see for the other days. We will see how we can tackle the stages, if it’s possible to try something with a late attack that’s always nice. It will be a different kind of racing, as there’s a general classification as well. We are here with a super strong team, with Logan (Currie) and Jenno (Berckmoes) who can also ride a GC. Brent (Van Moer) comes from altitude and is also in good form normally.”

“I only rode one time trial so far this year in Bessèges, that was a tough course. There are some strong opponents, so it will be a good test. I feel and prepared well.”
